Paddy’s mushroom family

This is actually Paddy’s idea, a mathematicians miasma. But could become an art work at some point!

“They’re in huddles, little ones snuggling up to bigger ones, in an arc stretching from under the hedge to just past the edge of the hedge. They’re operating a Self-Motivating Autonomous Collective and are signed up members of the Nonaligned Plants Movement. They call themselves the Edge of the Hedge. If we go for a walk in mottled woodland we might see some. They have apparently made use of a latest new-fangled sociological theory called ‘rhizome theory’, which, as they whispered very faintly to me, turns out to be really, really useful for mushrooms. Imagine that, social theory applied to mushrooms!”
